SMS (Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond) is a tri-layer nonwoven fabric known for its strength, softness, and fluid resistance. The meltblown middle layer acts as a high-efficiency filter barrier, making SMS ideal for isolation gowns and surgical apparel where protection is key. It meets many AAMI-level requirements for barrier protection.
